Ology Laundry Detergent and Baby Wash Review

I am always looking for natural and organic products for my family. Something that is “safe”, that isn’t filled with nasty chemicals. If I can easily access these items at a local store, that is a huge plus. Nothing beats being able to run down the street to get something that you just ran out of. I was thrilled when I was contacted to review Ology Products. It is a new line of natural, chemical free products and it is sold at Walgreens!!!

Ology offers things like laundry detergent, fabric softener, glass cleaner, all purpose cleaner, light bulbs, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, baby wash, baby lotion, etc… Everything is surprisingly very affordable too! Since I have a Walgreens within 1 mile of my house, I have such easy access to their line.

I headed out to Walgreens and picked up 2 of the Ology products to try. I chose the Laundry Detergent in Spring Lavender and Vanilla (Only $6.99!) and the All in One Soothing Baby Wash and Shampoo in Lavender & Chamomile (Only $4.99!).

Let’s look at the Laundry Detergent first.

MY EXPERIENCE

Honestly, I had to use this as soon as we brought it home! I made the mistake to open it and see how it smelled, well it has an amazing scent. Luckily for me, there is always dirty wash in a house with 5 people so I got to start testing it out right away.

I love it for our regular laundry. It gets all the laundry really clean! It worked wonderful on stains and everything smelled really good. The laundry came out of the wash feeling so soft!

I loved using it on our bedding. There was nothing better than crawling into a bed with freshly washed bedding that smelled like this! It was clean and so relaxing. I am a huge fan of anything lavender :-)

I did try it a few times on Josh’s diapers but it just didn’t do the trick. The diapers just didn’t seem to get clean enough when we used Ology on them. Truthfully not every detergent works on both his diapers and our regular laundry so this really didn’t surprise me.

To sum it up, this stuff is awesome for regular laundry!!! I just personally won’t recommend it for washing cloth diapers.

MY EXPERIENCE

We loved this stuff! It suds up great giving the kids lots of bubbles, it smelled amazing and it worked great! The kids were clean, their skin was soft and they smelled great. It really did seem to help relax them. Josh fell asleep really fast after his bath and that never happens. It also, didn’t burn their eyes, which is always a plus!!

My only complaint is that it did seem a bit watery. It didn’t bother me, but it did bother my husband. He ended up using more than he needed because of it. Since he used more than he needed to, we went through it super fast since he usually handles the kids bath time. After a couple of times though, he did start catching himself and using less.

This stuff works great for the little ones and it is a much better choice than other options out there. I love that it is free of harmful chemicals. The kids thought is smelled “good enough to eat” lol.

To sum up this whole thing. Ology products are pretty great! They smell amazing and work perfectly. They are easy to get and affordable. I have personally bought more, I love having them at Walgreens!!!!

You all should real check these out online or the next time you are at your local Walgreens!!!

**Please Note** Although, I received the products mentioned above for the purpose of this review, the opinions stated are 100% mine!

  1. I might give this a try someday seeing as how I don’t have diaper laundry any more (yippee!). I am using unscented powder laundry right now with no fragrance, parabens, surfactants, etc. and don’t miss out on having scent.

  2. I’m so glad that you said you were not happy about how your diapers came out using this detergent. It really makes the reviews you do much stronger! Thank you!
