MY EXPERIENCE

Daytime Use: As always my first test run is during the day. Josh spends about 3 hours in a daytime diaper. I am normally not a fan a side snaps but these were so easy too snap and I loved the fit they gave around his waist. The diaper is extremely trim and fit beautifully. I love not having to worry about wing drooping! Josh did his thing and like with all new diapers he just had to break it in! I loved that it didn’t leave red marks on his waist or legs. We had no leaks during the day which is awesome. The inside is so soft and the diaper moves with Josh!

Nap time Use: Our next test is during Josh’s nap. He spends about 4.5-5 hours in nap time diapers. We have trouble with some brands because he is a tummy sleeper. I am happy to report that not only did we get a wonderful fit but we didn’t get any leaks either! I am starting to love this side snapping thing! No wing drooping and Josh hasn’t figured out how to unsnap it yet:-) I am one happy mommy when he actually keeps a diaper on!

Overnight Use: Our Final test is always overnight. Joshua spends 10-12 hours in his night diapers and that is a long time! We had a beautiful fit!! However, we did  experience leaking. The diaper and his clothes were completely soaked in the morning. He is a heavy wetter at night, so I kind of expected it. I did what I normally do, I added a second insert to it. We tried it again with the extra insert and no leaks! Looks like we just needed more stuffing!

Overall: The Knickernappies Custom Fit Pocket Diaper is wonderful! It is affordable, well made, easy to use, easy to clean, fits great and works! I do recommend using a second insert if you have a heavy wetter. Josh has the size medium and there is plenty of room to grow. A great addition to any cloth diaper stash! Love the colors too!!!

  1. Well, I’m glad to hear it was successful during nap time; I also have a tummy sleeper and am always looking for a good sleep diaper!

  2. it’s hard to choose just one thing I love about theses diapers, but my top two are the side snaps and all the gorgeous colours!

  3. I love the that the inserts are made of 2 layers of thirsty hemp french terry plus 2 layers of ultra-thick white microfiber.

  4. I haven’t gotten to try them yet (I am expecting my first child in May), but I have been looking at reviews of all types of diapers..and these definitely look like they have some advantages!

  5. I like the side snap concept. Sometimes with my front snap pockets, my little guy ends up with snap marks on his tummy after being in the car seat. I bet that wouldn’t happen with a side snap.

  7. The one thing I appreciated when I switched to cloth is that I no longer had to panic or run to the store, because I was out of diapers.

  8. I love the side snapping (or at least I would love to try a side snap…) But I also love that it is made in the USA, that is very important to me!

  9. I like that this diaper did well during nap time and also at night with extra insert. My son is also a heavy wetter and night/nap time diapers are hard to find. I would love to try this diaper for just this reason..

  11. I like how well they fit and that they’re absorbent enough for a tummy sleeper at nap time (since I have a tummy sleeper!)

  12. Um, the custom fit portion!!! I have a OS, which is great, but super bulky up front, where my kids need extra absorbancy, when sized down for smaller babies.
