TruKid Silly Shampoo and Hero Stick Review and GIVEAWAY!

It is no surprise by now that I am always looking for awesome products that are all natural! The last thing I want to do is soap my kids up full of chemicals while giving them their bath. They all have super sensitive skin that most products irritate. When I came across the Trukid line, I knew I had to try them. So, I contacted them and they generously sent me 2 products to review.

th

I received their Silly Shampoo and the Hero Stick. Both products I absolutely love!

Let’s take a look at the Silly Shampoo first:

  • Mild and Safe for kid’s sensitive skin
  • Removes surface oils and dirt without stripping natural oils
  • Lightly scented with Trukid’s essential oil blend
  • No parabens, SLS, artificial colors or fragrances
  • Gluten, Phthalate and BPA free

MY EXPERIENCE

It suds!!! Yes, that is a big thing for me, lol. I need soap to sud, otherwise in my crazy mind it doesn’t work. I was thrilled to see it suds up leaving the kids with bubbly hats! The shampoo not only suds but it works great! Their hair was soft, shiny, had less knots and smelled great. The best part is it didn’t leave their hair greasy.

The shampoo has such a light, fresh, clean scent. I love it! We only needed to use a tiny amount to get their hair clean. The kids loved it. They would dance around and sing after using it, mostly because of the “Silly Shampoo” name. It didn’t burn when it got in their eyes which is a huge plus in my book. No matter how hard we try, for some reason they always get soap in their eyes.

I love that it is all natural and free of those nasty chemicals. I know I can feel good about using Trukid products on my children. The bottle and pump was a huge hit with the girls and they loved pushing it to get their own shampoo to wash their hair.

Honestly, I couldn’t be happier with the Silly Shampoo, it was wonderful! A must have product for little ones.

Hero Stick

  • Made with Balm of Gilead, calendula and Plantain Leaf to protect while skin heals
  • No parabens, artificial colors or fragrances
  • Great for cuts, scrapes, bug bites, burns, eczema, rashes and more

MY EXPERIENCE

I tried Hero Stick on several things including cuts, scratches, a burn, dry/cracked skin, chapped skin and some odd rash that Lily got on the back of her legs. I am in love with this stuff!!

It worked great on cuts and scratches. They seemed to heal faster and leave less of a scar behind. It didn’t burn the kids when it was put on either. Ariana got a small cut right below her eye and she really freaked out. She didn’t want us putting anything on it. Finally we convinced to let us use the Hero Stick on it. She was thrilled that it didn’t hurt! She even proudly informed us that it made her cut feel better.

Poor Ariana, at the same time she got her cut, her cheeks turned chapped and bright red. They were dry and itchy. I have no idea what happened but I am pretty sure it was from her playing outside in the cold and recess. They were just horribly chapped. She agreed to let us use the Hero Stick since it didn’t hurt her cut. Her checks were normal the next morning! She was so happy because there was no way she could go the school looking like that! (Her words, not mine BTW! I would have made her go either way lol)

I figured since the Hero Sticks has worked so well, I thought I would give it a shot on myself. I used it on a burn I got while cooking. (I am not a cook! Hubby cooks 98% of the time since I literally burn myself almost every time I try to cook). I was really impressed at how well it worked! It actually did help sooth the burn and it healed really quick. I never even got a nasty blister from it! That is awesome, I think I might need one just to keep in the kitchen:-)

One day Lily woke up with this horrid rash on the back of her legs behind her knees. I have no clue what kind of rash it was but I instantly grabbed for the Hero Stick. Lily was excited since she seen everyone else use it, she wanted to try it. (Sneaky little girl! I bet she gave herself that rash just so she could try the Hero Stick, lol!) What I didn’t like is how small it is. I wish the Hero Stick was a little bigger to make applying it to larger areas easier and less time consuming. But it was horrible, Lily just never wants to sit still for more than 30 seconds! We put it on her, she said she felt better and she headed to bed. In the morning we checked the rash and it looked 10 times better! It wasn’t as big or as red. Lily was thrilled! She also noticed that it didn’t itch as much after using the Hero Stick on it.

Bottom Line. If you have children, you NEED the Hero Stick in your house!!! Heck you need one in the house, one in the diaper bag, one in the car and one in your purse :-) Ariana will be 6 next month and it still amazes me at how many times we need something like this. I swear with 3 kids someone always has a cut, burn, bug bite, rash, scratch or some other kind of skin irritation!

  1. I would love to try these products!! I like that they are all natural but the shampoo doesn’t leave hair feeling oily. The hero stick stick would be perfect for our accident prone household!
