Lily has very fine hair. For some reason this kid gets knots like crazy!!! Honestly, you would think she rubs candy or something in it. The knots are awful and she gets them really fast too. Lily hates getting her hair brushed because of all the knots. It really hurts her! She screams, cries real tears, runs, hides, etc… She absolutely hates it. I don’t blame her. There is nothing worst than having your 4 year old scream “Mom, please stop, you’re hurting me” when all you are trying to do is take care of her. We have tried many products and nothing seems to help her. We’ve tried different shampoos, conditioners, brushes, detailing spray, etc… Nothing worked. CJ’s BUTTer helped some but left her hair so greasy. I was just about to give up hope on ever finding something that helps.

The day came, the Knot Genie arrived. It looks so unique! I love the shape of it and it is really easy for everyone in the house to hold. Still skeptical, I called for Lily. I showed her the brush, explained how it works and how it isn’t supposed to hurt. Well, Lily wasn’t buying it. I had to bribe her just so I could try it out!

I sat Lil down and started brushing her hair which was filled with knots. We used the Knot Genie on her dry tangled hair with no detangling spray or other products. Not one scream, cry, tear or anything! Her hair was completely brushed and knot free within 30 seconds. I couldn’t believe it and neither could she! Lil loves this brush and so do I! Honestly, if I didn’t experience this for myself, there is no way I would have believed it works this great!
We no longer fight with Lily to brush her hair. But she has to see the Knot Genie in our hands before she will come over to us. Any other brush and she is running for the hills! My biggest struggle is getting my 2 y.o. to hold still while I ‘style’ her hair. =)
This would be great for when my daughter gets out of the bath. Detangling her hair before bed makes mornings a bit easier.
My 8 year daughter is better about not fussing over hair brushing since she’s older now, but she still cringes every time. I’ve tried several different brushes and she doesn’t like any of them. It’s just something that has to be endured. I’d love to win a Knot Genie!

My four year old does not like having her hair brushed at all. I can usually get her to let me do it, but she complains a lot, and will not hold still. I have thought about cutting her hair shorter so I would not have to deal with it.
